House Features
Perched beneath Weeping Boer Bean and Jackalberry trees on the banks of the Kuvenyami River, Noka House is an exclusive-use villa designed for families or small groups seeking privacy, space, and a deep sense of connection to the wild.
Formerly known as Kuname Manor House, Noka House has been reimagined to reflect its unique place within the Karongwe Private Game Reserve — a secluded riverside retreat where wildlife rhythms, open space and unhurried living shape every stay.
Noka House stands apart as a safari villa where families can truly settle in. Children have space to explore safely, adults can slow down, and shared moments — by the pool, around the fire, or on the deck become the memories that last.
It’s not just a place to stay. It’s a place to belong, together — with the wild always just beyond the windows.

HOUSE Highlights
A HOME IN THE WILD
Sleeping up to six guests, Noka House offers a safari experience that feels personal, flexible and relaxed — ideal for families travelling together or groups wanting to share time without sacrificing comfort or privacy.
The villa accommodates guests across:
- Two elegant en-suite bedrooms with king-size beds
- A cosy loft with two single beds, perfect for children or additional guests
Each bedroom opens directly onto the deck, allowing the sounds of the bush — birdsong at first light and night calls after dusk — to flow gently into the space.
INDOOR-OUTDOOR LIVING
The heart of Noka House is its inviting open-plan lounge and kitchen, designed for both relaxation and togetherness. Under soaring thatched ceilings and rich timber beams, the lounge is furnished with soft leather seating, textured rugs, and natural tones that echo the surrounding bush. Wide doors open directly onto the deck, blurring the line between indoors and out, while carefully chosen artworks and woven details bring warmth and character.
Space to Gather
Shaded beneath large trees, the wide wooden deck at Noka House is the heart of outdoor living. With its inviting dining table, comfortable lounge seating, and lantern-lit charm, it’s a space made for long, unhurried moments — whether it’s a breakfast surrounded by birdsong, an afternoon game of backgammon with a glass of wine, or a candlelit dinner overlooking the garden and pool. Elevated above the bush, the verandah draws the wilderness close while offering the comfort and seclusion of a private retreat.
a refreshing pause
Set just off the deck, the private plunge pool is a refreshing sanctuary between safaris. Its clear waters mirror the trees above while the bush beyond stretches out in view, often with wildlife passing quietly through. By day it’s a place to cool off under the African sun, and by evening it becomes a front-row seat to the colours of dusk settling over the bush. Intimate, tranquil, and deeply restorative, it is one of Noka House’s most cherished features.
IN THE WILDNERNSS
As evening falls, the fire pit becomes the heart of the garden — a circle of warmth beneath the trees, where flames crackle, stars brighten overhead, and stories are shared deep into the night. By day, the shaded garden offers a peaceful refuge, alive with birdsong and the rustle of leaves, inviting you to pause between safaris. Together, the fire pit and garden create a seamless flow between nature and comfort, a place where the wilderness feels both untamed and welcoming.
family orientated space
Tucked above the main living space, the loft room offers two comfortable single beds, making it an ideal hideaway for children or additional guests. Elevated and cosy, it provides a sense of adventure while still feeling connected to the heart of the villa. From here, soft light filters in through the trees, and the sounds of the bush create a gentle reminder that the wilderness is all around.
Time for Togetherness
The adjoining kitchen makes the villa feel like a true home in the wild. The kitchen and breakfast bar provide a casual space for coffee at dawn or evening drinks after safari. With its blend of rustic charm and thoughtful comfort, this shared living area sets the scene for stories, connection, and easy companionship. While the kitchen has all the amenities one would need — large fridge, modern appliances and a luxurious coffee machine — dining at Noka House is defined by refinement. Guests enjoy gourmet plated meals, crafted with fresh seasonal ingredients and presented with artistry.
